A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, the Bull Creek Babe Ruth 14 Year-Old Baseball team recently won the

2004 Georgia State Championship;



WHEREAS, the Bull Creek team defeated North Columbus to clinch their victory;



WHEREAS, the team then advanced to the Southeast Regionals held in Andalusia,

Alabama from August 6-13, 2004 and Bull Creek was defeated by Alabama and North

Florida to finish fifth in a field of ten teams;



WHEREAS, this team's accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by this

Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the Bull Creek Babe Ruth 14 Year-Old

Baseball team upon their victory in the 2004 Georgia State Championship and

upon their participation in the Southeast Regionals held in Andalusia, Alabama:

Manager Mike Johnson and Coaches Rocky Baker, Mark Googe, Randall Bramlett and

Todd Sherer, Team Moms Vicki Whittle and Susan Shackelford and Players George

Mize, Reed Fleming, Ethan Brubaker, Bailey Flynn, Curt Shavers, JP Cooper,

Edgar Falcon, Cam Greathouse, Steven McEwen, Josh Hall, Jason Seitz, Travis

Lush, Tory Singer, David Miller and Howie Shackelford. Columbus is truly proud

of this team's hard work and dedication and we wish them every success in the

future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the above-named

participants and the League President, Steve Shackelford.
