Report of Steve Brown, Superintendent
Bull Creek Golf Course

? The cement slabs have been poured on the front side of the East
course for tee signs.
Oxbow Creek Golf Course
? The fairways have been sprayed for winter weeds and a per-emerge
herbicide has been applied.
Report of John Milam, Director of Golf
? Bull Creek had a revenue of $67,227.45 and expenses of $126,286.33
for the month of January 2002.
? Oxbow Creek had a revenue of $16,740.29 and expenses of $38,250.79
for the month of January 2002.
Godwin Creek
? No representative from Godwin Creek was present for this Authority
meeting.
? The December 2001 ? January 2002 financial report received by Michael
Silverstein shows an income of $4,129.00 and expenses of $3,649.00 for this
time.
? Michael Silverstein and John Milam attended the last meeting of the
1st Tee and Seniors for Kids and have asked for appropriate and accurate
financial reports for Godwin Creek.
? John Milam has asked John Nix, Chairman of the 1st Tee, for an
audited financial report and a DNO certificate for liability.
New Business
? Larry Gaither, golf coach of Hardaway High School, and eight parents
of players of the Hardaway High School golf team met with the Authority. The
purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways in which the Hardaway Invitational
Golf Tournament could generate additional revenues to offset the loss of
revenue to Bull Creek Golf Course for hosting the tournament on April 11th ?
13th of 2002. Bull Creek could lose up to $6,000.00 from lost greens fees
since 18 holes of the golf course would have to be closed for two days. Some
ways to generate additional income for Bull Creek would be to have the players
in the tournament pay for their practice round, let the parents of the players
rent golf carts during the playing of the tournament and to ask local
businesses for a donation to help with the tournament.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:50 PM. The next
Authority meeting will be at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at Bull Creek
Golf Course.
Respectfully submitted,
Rick Cravens
