An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 7404 Beaver Run Road from A-1 (Agricultural) District to R-1A (Low
Density Residential) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from A-1 (Agricultural)
District to R-1A (Low Density Residential) District:
All that tract or parcel of land lying in and being Part of Land Lots 68 and
93, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGIN at an iron stake marking the intersection of the southerly line of Beaver
Run Road and the easterly line of Land Lot 68, 9th District; thence South 01
degree 09 minutes 07 seconds East, along the easterly line of Land Lot 68,
190.5 feet to an iron stake; thence South 01 degree 39 minutes 28 seconds East,
along the easterly line of Land Lot 68, 999.47 feet to an iron stake; thence
South 01 degree 35 minutes 00 seconds East, along the easterly line of Land Lot
68, 799.68 feet to an iron stake; thence North 89 degrees 07 minutes 23 seconds
East, 474.96 feet to an iron stake; thence South 01 degree 38 minutes 21
seconds East, 299.86 feet to an iron stake; thence North 88 degrees 51 minutes
37 seconds East, 50.33 feet to an iron stake; thence South 01 degree 35 minutes
00 seconds East, 281.40 feet to an iron stake on the southerly line of Land Lot
93; thence South 87 degrees 46 minutes 24 seconds West along the southerly
lines of Land Lots 93 and 68, 1,179.52 feet to an iron stake; thence North 11
degrees 13 minutes 48 seconds West, 348.58 feet to an iron stake in the center
of Skylark Creek; thence northerly along the center of Skylark Creek, 2,545
feet, more or less, to a point of the southerly line of Beaver Run Road; thence
North 86 degrees 30 minutes 29 seconds East, along the southerly line of Beaver
Run Road, 32.48 feet to a concrete monument; thence North 23 degrees 03 minutes
14 seconds East, along the southerly line of Beaver Run Road, 55.72 feet to a
concrete monument; thence North 86 degrees 27 minutes 28 seconds East, along
the southerly line of Beaver Run Road, 643.36 feet to an iron stake at the
point of beginning.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:
A 30-foot undisturbed, natural buffer shall be required along the property
lines of Lots 19 to 25 as shown on the accompanying lay-out which shall be made
a part of the ordinance.
