I. CONSOLIDATED STRATEGY AND PLAN - ANNUAL BUDGET:
Authorization is requested of the 2002 Consolidated Strategy and Plan
Annual Budget for filing with the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development. An agenda report and resolution are included.
II. ACCG/GMA JOINT TASK FORCE QUALITY GROWTH:
Approval is requested of a resolution endorsing and supporting the
vision and goal outlined in the April 2002 report title, "Recommendations for
Achieving Quality Growth in Georgia" from the Joint Task Force on Quality
Growth. A resolution is included.
III. ACCEPTANCE OF STREETS ? LAGOON COURT, LILY PAD DRIVE AND PORTION OF
BUCKHORN DRIVE:
Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Lagoon
Court, Lily Pad Drive and a portion of Buckhorn Drive located in Phase Five,
Beaver Pond Subdivision. The Department of Engineering has inspected these
streets and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, resolution and map
are included.
IV. ACCEPTANCE OF STREETS ? ADELAIDE DRIVE AND BENT PINE COURT:
Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Adelaide
Drive and Bent Pine Court located in Section ?K? II, Maple Ridge Golf
Community. The Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and
recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, resolution and map are included.
V. SURPLUS PROPERTY OFF FLAT ROCK ROAD CUL-DE-SAC:
Authorization is requested to execute a Quit Claim Deed for City
Property adjacent to the Cul-de-sac at the dead end portion of Old Flat Rock
Road to George Woodruff Company and Spectrum Company. An agenda report,
resolution and map are included.
VI. VARIANCE TO SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS ? MAPLE RIDGE:
Authorization is requested to grant a variance to Section 18A-33b of the
Columbus Code commonly referred to as the Subdivision Regulations from the
standard width of the street of 31 feet (back of curb to back of curb) to 26
feet for Developers-Investors, Inc, Maple Ridge Golf Community. An agenda
report and resolution are included.

VII. VARIANCE TO SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS ? WHITESVILLE WALK:
Authorization is requested to grant a variance to Section 18A-33b of the
Columbus Code commonly referred to as the Subdivision Regulations to construct
the standard width of the street from 31 feet (back of curb to back of curb) to
26 feet for Brian Grier, Inc. An agenda report and resolution are included.
VIII. GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION - CAROL M. WHITE PHYSICAL EDUCATION
GRANT:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and accept grant funds from
the Georgia Department of Education for the physical education component of the
After School Program. An agenda report and resolution are included.
IX. MUSCOGEE COUNTY GELI COLLABORATIVE:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and accept a grant
from Muscogee County Geli Collaborative in the amount of $30,000 as part of the
Georgia Early Learning Initiative for training and technical assistance for
quality child care improvement. An agenda report and resolution are included.
X. PURCHASE AUTHORIZATION:
Approval is requested of item "A" and "B":

1. Studio and Media Room Equipment ? RFP No. 02-0035
Scope of RFP
Construct a complete and professional television facility to include cameras,
lighting and presentation system in Council Chambers; equipment for a studio
located on the 3rd Floor of the Government Center Tower; video production and
editing system for the control room which is also located on the 3rd Floor of
the Government Center Tower. Outfit a media room with monitors to observe the
outgoing and off air signal of the Government Access Channel. The media room
will also need to be equipped to provide video and audio feeds for the
local/visiting media.

1. Ready Mix Cement ? (Annual Contract) ? Bid No. 02-0131
Scope of Bid
Provide approximately one hundred cubic yards of ready mix cement on an ?as
needed basis? to be used by the Public Services Department of the Columbus
Consolidated Government. The contract shall be for one year with the option to
renew for two additional twelve-month periods, if agreeable to both parties.

Scope of RFP
Provide professional safety inspections of taxicabs. The contract shall be for
two years with the option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods.
Contract renewal will be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and
the Contractor.
