v Fair

? Civic Center staff and management very busy due to fair

? 1st day of fair (September 26, 2002) due to weather, civic center cut staff

? Monster Jam/Fair two events in one

? New fair brand and logo

? Monster Jam saved fair Friday night (September 27, 2002)

? Fair attendance good, not great

? Looking at motocross as headliner for the fair in 2003



v Civic Center calendar

? Create calendar to show events at Memorial Stadium, Golden Park, South

Commons and Civic Center

? Civic Center gives a copy to Parks & Recreation

? Helps everyone to beware of events and traffic flow

? Sports Council ties into the schedule of games with Park & Recreation

? Communications is the key



v Clear Channel Entertainment/NBDL

? $99,000 in debt to city

? Clear Channel is in second year of five year contract

? 20 (twenty) events per year

? Clear Channel has made changes in staff management

? Lynyrd Skynyrd coming this Saturday (October 5, 2002)

? Widespread Panic coming November 3, 2002 is not a Clear Channel

? United As One coming November 8, 2002 is not a Clear Channel

? Civic Center is going out and making contacts for events
