I. GEORGIA POWER REAL TIME PRICING (RTP) CONVERSION:
Authorization is requested to enter into a contract with Georgia Power
to change the current power pricing from Power and Light rate to RTP rate at
the County Jail and Muscogee County Prison. An agenda report and resolution are
attached.
II. PUBLIC DEFENDER CONTRACT AMENDMENT:
Authorization is requested for an amendment to the Public Defender
contract that will allow travel reimbursement to be increased from $ 0.28/mile
to $0.485/mile as approved by the State of Georgia. An agenda report and
resolution are attached.
III. VARIANCE FOR ADDRESSING - SPRING HARBOR:
Authorization is requested for a variance to Ordinance No. 02-85 of the
Columbus Code to allow the use of private street addressing that is unique to
the facilities for Spring Harbor at Green Island. An agenda report and
resolution are attached.
IV. EASEMENT BRIGHTON PARK APARTMENTS:
Authorization is requested to execute a deed to Brighton Park
Apartments for a 20 ft. sanitary sewer easement through City property to
connect Brighton Park Apartments to the sanitary sewer line currently serving
Midland Chase Subdivision. An agenda report, maps and resolution are attached.
V. SURPLUS PROPERTY - 624, 620, 618 AND 616 VETERANS PARKWAY, 2120 13TH STREET,
1266 CEDAR AVENUE, 2067 COMMERCE STREET, 46 AND 3321 NORTH LUMPKIN ROAD:
Authorization is requested to declare 624, 620, 618 and 616 Veterans
Parkway, 2120 13th Street, 1266 Cedar Avenue, 2067 Commerce Street, 46 and 3321
North Lumpkin Road as surplus and advertise to sell said properties in
accordance with City Code. An agenda report, maps and resolution are attached.
There will be a pre-council briefing Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in
the Council Chamber Conference Room.

VI. COUNCIL OF JUVENILE COURT JUDGES OF GEORGIA:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved
accept a grant of $5,000 from the Council of Juvenile Court Judges of Georgia
from funds allocated by Congress from the Juvenile Justice Accountability Block
Grant and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund by like amount. An agenda report
and resolution are attached.
VII. STREET ACCEPTANCE - TOWER ROAD CUL-DE-SAC:
Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to the
cul-de-sac portion of Tower Road, Parcel "A" and Parcel "B" each containing
.0933 acre as an access to Tower Court, a private street. An agenda report, map
and resolution are attached.

The project consists of sewer and water system improvements including but not
limited to: approximately 2,200 feet of 48-inch reinforced concrete gravity

42-inch ductile iron pipe gravity sewer, 20 manholes, reconnection of sewer
service lateral and storm drain connections, approximately 3,100 feet of 6 to
