AN ORDINANCE
NO.
An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 1118, 1230, 1234, 1236, and 1240 54th Street, from A-O
(Apartment-Office) District and M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District with
conditions to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from A-O
(Apartment-Office) District and M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District with
conditions to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District.
Property in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia located in Land Lot 66, 8th
District described as BEGINNING at the southeast intersection of Chumar Drive
and 54th Street proceed east along the south side of 54th Street 114.37 feet to
an iron; thence southeast 190.37 feet to an iron; thence southwest 253.85 feet
to an iron; thence southwest 155.14 feet to an iron; thence northeast along the
east side of Chumar Drive 495.54 feet to the point of beginning.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as ALL OF LOT NUMBERED
200, as said lot appears on a map or plat entitled ?Replat of Part of Land Lot
66, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,? prepared by Moon, Meeks,
& Patrick, Inc., dated January 22, 2002, and recorded in Plat Book 145, Folio
61, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia, to which reference is hereby made for a more complete and accurate
description of said property.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as ALL OF PARCEL ?B?,
OF THE SURVEY FOR G.W. HOLLAND AND R.H. WHITE, prepared by G.V. Carr & Co., on
January 18, 1956 and recorded in Plat Book 16, Folio 138, in the Office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which reference is
hereby made for a more complete and accurate description of said property.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as ALL OF PARCEL ?A?,
OF THE SURVEY FOR G.W. HOLLAND AND R.H. WHITE, prepared by G.V. Carr & Co., on
January 18, 1956 and recorded in Plat Book 16, Folio 138, in the Office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, to which reference is
hereby made for a more complete and accurate description of said property.
And
All that lot, tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as ALL OF LOT NUMBERED
101, as said lot appears on a map or plat entitled ?Replat of Part of Land Lot
66, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,? prepared by Moon, Meeks,
& Patrick, Inc., dated July 5, 1995, and recorded in Plat Book 129, Folio 51,
in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia,
to which reference is hereby made for a more complete and accurate description
of said property.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:
1. All lighting shall be directed internally using deflectors.
2. The use of the property shall be restricted to office / warehouse.
