Met with Ms. Brown and Mr. Smith representing Ray Wright Inc. regarding

personal property account # 05888801. Ms. Brown told the Board that the real

estate at 3864 St. Mary?s Rd is owned by Jack Wright and the Dairy Queen was

leased to Herrumb Inc. Ms. Brown said according to the lease Herrumb Inc. was

responsible for paying the real and personal property taxes. She told the Board

they did not know until recently that the real estate taxes had not been paid

and a lien was filed against the property. She said that Jack Wright paid the

real estate taxes and Bob Cloutre in the Tax Commissioner?s Office told her

that there are back taxes for personal property and a lien would be placed on

the real estate if the personal property taxes are not paid. She told the Board

that Jack Wright did not own the personal property until this year when they

took possession of the real estate. Ms. Brown said some of the personal

property was stolen and it was reported to the Police Department. She said Rick

Saga, the owner of Herrumb Inc., should be liable for the previous years

personal property taxes. The Board asked Ms. Brown to furnish a copy of the

police report when the personal property was reported stolen and a copy of the

lease to Herrumb Inc. They also suggested to make another appointment to appear

before the Board. The Board also requested someone from the Tax Commissioner?s

Office to be present because the problem appears to be a collection problem and

not an assessment problem.
