SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Walters Loop

Recommendation: Approve the acceptance of the deed to Walters Loop located in

Moye Plantation, Phase III.



Background: Moye Plantation, Phase III, currently consists of twelve

residential lots. The street has been improved and meets the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.



Analysis: A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Walters Loop located

in Moye Plantation, Phase III. A description of the property is as follows:

All of Walters Loop, lying and being in Moye Plantation, Phase III shown on the

plat referenced. The described roads and right-of-ways are shown on the map or

plat entitled "Lying in Land Lot 52, 8th Land District, Muscogee County,

Georgia" dated August 12, 2002 made by the Sommerville Group, Inc. and recorded

in Plat Book 147, Page 30 , in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for

a more particular description of the street hereby conveyed.



Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is

assumed after the two-year warranty expires.



Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code,

all dedicated right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.



Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Walters

Loop located in Moye Plantation, Phase III.







A RESOLUTION

NO. _________

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO WALTERS LOOP LOCATED IN

MOYE PLANTATION, PHASE III, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Walters Loop, located in Moye Plantation, Phase III, a full

description of said property being shown in said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said street has been improved and meets the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Columbus, Georgia has inspected said

street for acceptance by the City; and recommends acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated the 27th day of August, 2002, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Walters Loop located in Moye Plantation, Phase III, be and the same is

hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed

recorded in the deed records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court

of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed is hereto attached and by

this reference made a part of this Resolution.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the

10th day of September, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative

vote of
