Subject Traffic Signal @ Macon Road @ Tate Drive



Description Have the staff to have someone to check the traffic signal at the

intersections of Macon Road @ Tate Drive, where the new Walgreen?s store is

located, as there have been several near collisions where you come out of the

parking lot; because there needs to be a turn arrow there. (Request of

Councilor McDaniel)

Response The Walgreen's has a green signal at the entrance that is displayed at

the same time as the Hilton Avenue traffic has a green signal. To alert the

oncoming Hilton Avenue traffic, that vehicles are exiting the Walgreen's

driveway, staff will install an overhead sign next to the Hilton Avenue signal

advising that left turn vehicles must yield to oncoming traffic.
