An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 1602 Celeste Drive, from R-1A (Low Density Residential) and R-2 (Low
Density Residential) Districts to an R-2 (Low Density Residential) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from R-1A (Low Density
Residential) and R-2 (Low Density Residential) Districts to R-2 (Low Density
Residential) District:
All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying in Land Lot 43, 9th District,
Columbus Muscogee County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a point formed by the intersection of the southerly right-of-way
line of Mary Allison Drive with the easterly right-of-way line of Celeste Drive
and run thence South 36 degrees 06 minutes West along the easterly right-of-way
Line of Celeste Drive a distance of 161.75 feet to an iron pin at the point of
beginning; thence run South 53 degrees 55 minutes East a distance of 235.45
feet to an iron pin; thence run South 02 degrees 22 minutes 30 seconds East a
distance of 171.11 feet to an iron pin; thence run South 02 degrees 10 minutes
East a distance of 225.05 feet to an iron pin; thence run South 02 degrees 12
minutes East a distance of 333.58 feet to an iron pin; thence run South 82
degrees 50 minutes West a distance of 221.91 feet to an iron pin; thence run
North 02 degrees 20 minutes West a distance of 147.31 feet to an iron pin;
thence run South 87 degrees 42 minutes West a distance of 199.80 feet to an
iron pin on the east right-of-way line of Celeste Drive; thence run North 02
degrees 11 minutes West along the east right-of-way line of Celeste Drive a
distance of 150.0 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 87 degrees 40 minutes
East a distance of 199.8 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 02 degrees 11
minutes West a distance of 344.17 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 32
degrees 35 minutes east a distance of 43.22 feet to an iron pin; thence run
North 36 degrees 06 minutes East a distance of 150.0 feet to an iron pin;
thence run North 57 degrees 25 minutes West a distance of 134.0 feet to an iron
pin on the easterly right-of-way line of Celeste Drive; thence run North 36
degrees 06 minutes East along the easterly right-of-way line of Celeste Drive a
distance of 24.57 feet to an iron pin at the point of beginning.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:
1. Any proposed driveway adjacent to Glenview Drive shall align with Glenview
Drive.
