A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING METRA BUS OPERATOR ROGER SINQUEFIELD

FOR HIS EXPERT DRIVING SKILLS IN THE 30TH AMERICAN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL BUS ROADEO COMPETITION.





WHEREAS, on September 25, 2005, Mr. Roger Sinquefield, competed in the

International Bus Roadeo Competition held in Dallas, TX; and





WHEREAS, this year, Mr. Roger Sinquefield, won first place in the local

competition and third place in the state competition which qualified him for

the International Bus Roadeo; and





WHEREAS, Mr. Roger Sinquefield placed 6th exhibiting expert driving skills,

maneuvering a 35 foot bus through an intricate obstacle course with more than

30 competitors from North America?s finest bus transit systems which measured

professional skills, knowledge of safety regulations, bus equipment and

personal appearance; and





WHEREAS, Mr. Roger Sinquefield has demonstrated professionalism,

determination, and excellence while competing in local, state and International

Bus Roadeos and receiving worldwide recognition, make our city and state proud

of him.





NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY

RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate METRA Bus Operator Roger Sinquefield for his

participation in the International Bus Roadeo and do extend to him best wishes

for continued success for local, state and international recognition.
