A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Karl Douglass, Vice President of Licensing for AFLAC, was recently

profiled in Georgia Trend magazine as one of Georgia's 40 brightest leaders

under the age of 40;



WHEREAS, at AFLAC, he supervises a staff of 53 employees who make sure that

AFLAC's 60,000 independent insurance agents comply with individual state

regulations and he works regularly with AFLAC's director of compliance;



WHEREAS, he also serves as chairman of the board for the YMCA of Metropolitan

Columbus and as chair of Columbus South, Inc., a new organization aimed at

revitalizing southern portions of Columbus.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Karl Douglass, Vice President of Licensing

for AFLAC, upon his recent recognition by Georgia Trend magazine as one of

Georgia's 40 brightest leaders under the age of 40. Let a copy of this

resolution be forwarded to Mr. Karl Douglass.
