AN ORDINANCE



AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY02 RISK MANGEMENT FUND BUDGET FROM

$1,293,937 TO $1,493,937.



WHEREAS, the Risk Management Fund provides self-funding for vehicle

claims and worker?s compensation management;



WHEREAS, the raising medical cost of worker?s compensation claims have

depleted the funding for additional claims;



WHEREAS, the amendment in the budget will provide funding to pay the

remaining medical expenses associated with Worker?s Compensation claims for

FY02.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



The FY02 Risk Management Fund budget is increased in the amount of

$200,000 for a total revised budget of $1,493,937.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on

the _____ day of July, 2002. Introduced a second time at a regular meeting of

said Council held the ____ day of July, 2002 and adopted at said meeting by the

affirmative vote of ____ members of Council.
