WHEREAS, the employees listed below have completed all of the requirements of

the Management Development Program, have now graduated and have been awarded

the ?Certificate of Local Government Management? conferred by the University of

Georgia?s Carl Vinson Institute of Government;



WHEREAS, this is the sixth graduating cohort for the Columbus Consolidated

Government in a program specifically developed for supervisors and managers in

municipal and county governments, and delivered by professionals experienced in

working with local governments;



WHEREAS, the training and development in interpersonal skills, group leadership

and project implementation skills emphasize practical application in the

workplace that produces important results for guiding successful management

behavior in our workplace;



WHEREAS, the Mayor, Councilors and City Manager wish to recognize each of the

successful graduates and stress the importance and support for continuing

learning for our employees.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate the following employees for their commitment, hard

work, and personal growth in this important program of professional

development. These are our honored seventh Management Development Program
