SUBJECT: Street Acceptance - Arrow Point Lane - Caribou Drive and
Detention Basin

Recommendation: Approve the acceptance of the deed to Arrow Point Lane,
Caribou Drive and the Detention Basin located in Section Nine, Eagle Pointe
Subdivision.
Background: Section Nine, Eagle Pointe Subdivision, currently has
twenty-eight residential lots. The streets and the detention basin have been
improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis: A deed has been submitted to the City conveying Arrow Point Lane,
Caribou Drive and the Detention Basin located in Section Nine, Eagle Pointe
Subdivision. A description of the property is as follows: ?All those tracts
and parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County,
Georgia, and comprising of those portions of Section Nine, Eagle Pointe, from
the existing right-of-way of Arrow Point Lane, and a portion of Caribou Drive
in that certain subdivision recorded in Plat Book 148, folios 6 & 7, in the
Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, and to
which map or plat reference is hereby made for a more particular description of
the streets hereby conveyed. Also, all that tract or parcel of land situate,
lying and being in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, containing 0.767 acre,
and being known and designated as the Detention Basin, as shown upon a map or
plat entitled Section Nine, Eagle Pointe Lying in Land Lot 41, 9th District,
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia and recorded in Plat Book 148, pages 6 & 7,
in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.?
Financial Considerations: No City funds are involved until maintenance is
assumed after the two-year warranty expires.
Legal Considerations: In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all
dedicated right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution of Council.
Recommendations/ Actions: Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Arrow
Point Lane, Caribou Drive and the Detention Basin located in Section Nine,
Eagle Pointe Subdivision.
