A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TO PURCHASE FIVE PARCELS OF LAND ON RIVERSIDE AVENUE,

SHORT AVENUE AND 26TH STREET (SEE TAX MAP), LOCATED IN MUSCOGEE COUNTY,

GEORGIA, A/K/A TAX MAP 007-011-016-, 007-012-027, 028 AND 029, AND 007-013-003.



WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is assembling properties along Riverside Avenue

for future development; and,



WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Consolidated Government of

Columbus, Georgia to purchase the property; and,



WHEREAS, it has been determined the price of $141,500.00 is fair and equitable.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:



That the City Manager is hereby authorized to purchase the property located at

2501 Riverside Avenue, 2601 Short Avenue, 2607 Short Avenue, 2608 Short Avenue

and #2 - 26th Street as identified on Tax Map Parcels 007-011-016, 007-012-027,

028 and 029, and 007-013-003 and render payment of $141,500.00 and file the

Warranty Deed with the Superior Court Clerk for permanent records.



Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia, held

the
