An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 5385, 5389, 5393, 5397, 5401, 5405, 5409, 5413, 5417, and 5421
Schatulga Road, from R-1A (Low Density Residential) District to M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from R-1A (Low Density
Residential) District to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District:
All those lots, tracts or parcels of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,
Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as Lots 21, 22, 23,
24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, as said lots are shown on that certain map or
plat entitled ?Annex to Oak Grove Acres, Parts of Land Lots 59 & 60, 9th
District, Muscogee County, Georgia,? prepared by Siegel Engineering Company,
under date of September 14, 1948, and recorded in Plat Book 5, Folio 51, of the
records in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia, to which plat reference is made for a more complete and accurate
description of the properties herein conveyed.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following conditions:
1. All lighting shall be deflected internally using deflector shields.
2. Screening for trash dumpsters / compactors, air conditioners, refrigeration
units, and heat pumps shall be required for all development on the property.
3. Driveway access shall be determined by the City Traffic Engineer.
4. Deceleration lanes shall be required as determined by the City Traffic
Engineer.
