A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, Clinton Edwards, Jr., a Sergeant with West Central Georgia Regional

Hospital, recently assisted law enforcement officers in apprehending a suspect

who had threatened workers at the hospital;



WHEREAS, Sergeant Edwards calmly talked with the suspect who was believed to be

armed and seized an opportunity to subdue the suspect and called for assistance;



WHEREAS, Sergeant Edwards' calm response and bravery in this emergency

situation are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend Sergeant Clinton Edwards, Jr. of West Central Georgia

Regional Hospital for his courageous acts and quick response in subduing a

criminal suspect on the grounds of the hospital. Let a copy of this

resolution be forwarded to Sergeant Clinton Edwards, Jr. and the Director of

West Central Georgia Regional Hospital.
