An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 8564 Blackmon Road from SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) District

to RE5 (Residential Estate 5) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department be, and the

same is hereby amended by changing the following described property from SFR1

(Single Family Residential 1) District to RE5 (Residential Estate 5) District:



All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 18th District of

Muscogee County, Georgia, and being known and designated as part of Land Lots

Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) and being more particularly described as

follows:



Beginning at a point where the eastern line of the Blackmon Road intersects

with the northern boundary line of Land Lot 17 and running thence North 88

degrees 47 minutes East a distance of 1,848.41 feet along the northern lines of

Land Lots 17 and 18 to an iron; thence North 88 degrees 18 minutes East a

distance of 1,158.49feet along the northern line of Land Lot 18 to an iron;

thence South 01 degrees 11 minutes East a distance of 1,252.64 feet to an iron;

thence South 88 degrees 53 minutes West a distance of 3,260.80 feet to an iron

located on the eastern line of Blackmon Road; thence in a northeasterly

direction along the eastern line of Blackmon Road a distance of 107.53 feet to

an iron; thence North 10 degrees 42 minutes East a distance of 1,088.60 feet to

an iron on the easterly line of Blackmon Road; thence continuing along the

easterly line of Blackmon Road a distance of 70.18 feet to an iron which marks

the point of beginning.



The above described property is shown on a map or plat of same recorded in Plat

Book 35, Folio 95, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia.



LESS AND EXCEPT:



All that tract or parcel of land being in the 18th District of Muscogee County,

Georgia, and being part of Land Lot 17; said tract containing 5.0 acres as

shown on a map or plat of said property prepared by A. B. Moon, Jr., R.L.S.,

dated February 1, 1994, and recorded in Plat Book 124, Folio 39, in the Office

of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on

the 18TH day of November, 2005; introduced a second time at a regular meeting
