An ordinance changing the name of the Columbus Fire and Emergency Medical

Services Department to Columbus Fire Department; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



SECTION 1.



The name of the Columbus Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department is

hereby changed to Columbus Fire Department. Wherever the term ?Columbus Fire

and Emergency Medical Services? appears in the Columbus Code or other

regulation of the consolidated government, this term shall mean and be replaced

by ?Columbus Fire Department.? For all property and equipment bearing the name

?Columbus Fire and Emergency Medical Services,? such name shall be phased out

of service and replaced by the name ?Columbus Fire Department? at the

discretion of the Chief of the Columbus Fire Department.



SECTION 2.



All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are

hereby repealed.
