Subject Lawncare Businesses



Description Have the staff to go and do some enforcement on those lawn care

business that are violating the City ordinance who are blowing debris and trash

into the sewer lines. Also, send out a certified letter to those we know are

the largest contractors and advise them of this problem. (Request of Councilor

Suber)

Response We issue court summons to anyone we observe blowing leaves into storm

sewers. Please remember that there are more lawn care businesses than we have

enforcement officers. Letters will be sent to each license business on file

with the occupation tax office reminding them of this prohibition. We will

continue to enforce and issue summons to those we observe violation the code.
