A RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, the Kendrick High School Lady Cherokees Basketball Team
recently finished second in the Class AAA State Championship held Saturday,
March 5, 2005 in Macon, Georgia;
WHEREAS, the Lady Cherokees lost to Hephzibah 72-64 in a hard- fought
championship game;
WHEREAS, the Lady Cherokees finished with an outstanding 30-2 season
and a Region 2-AAA championship;
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Kendrick High School Lady Cherokees
are worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate the following members of the Kendrick High
School Lady Cherokees upon their second-place finish in the Class AAA State
Championship held Saturday, March 5, 2005 in Macon, Georgia: Ashlee Barley,
Breyanna Bass, Lacee Hollis, Rosetta Hollis, Clarissa Johnson, Jasmine King,
Leschelle Matthews, Janae McKinney, Mukia Myrick, Kianna Pinkney, Angel Rice,
Clarissa Smalls, Kendra Smith, Kymberli Stamps, Angelica Stewart, Candace Ward,
Emma Washington, Rachelle Washington, and Head Coach Sterling Hicks. Let a copy
of this resolution be forwarded to the above-named participants.
