MINUTES # 21-03



The Columbus, Georgia, Board of Tax Assessors met Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at

2:00PM with Chairman Lawton Grantham, Assessors Richard Stallings, Ann

Grantham, William Braxton and Pat Hunter present. Also present was Chief

Appraiser Martin J. Land.



Assessor William Braxton made a motion to approve Minutes #20-03, Assessor Pat

Hunter second it, motion carried unanimously.



Ms. Hinton had an appointment with the Board of Tax Assessors, however, did not

appear. (Pers Prop Account # 05684001)



Met with Ms. James representing Life Christian Center requesting non-taxability

for property located at 2716 North Lumpkin Rd (Parcel ID 042 007 018). Ms.

James said the property was used as a church on January 1, 2003. The Board

requested a field review.



Met with Residential Division Chief Bob O?Brien, reviewed and approved the

following:



New Constructions: 4

2003 Map Splits: 7

Homestead Permits: 1022

Revaluation: 1592

Non-Homestead Permits: 13



The Board approved tax exempt status for Parcel ID 088 056 038 for 2003, which

was field reviewed by the Residential Division.



Met with Commercial Division Chief Linda King, reviewed and approved the

following:



2002 Map Splits: 1

Permits: 63

NBHD Reval: 1

SUBD Reval: 2



Met with Personal Property Division Chief Oliver Juhan, reviewed and approved

the following:



Freeport Applications: 11 (Approved)
