WHEREAS, Shaw High School's Global Media Resources Academy offers college

preparatory and technical/career students a cross-curricular path to skills and

opportunities in technology driven media services;



WHEREAS, Leonardo "Leo" Rosales, a native of Uruguay and a Shaw student, was a

perfect fit for an internship with the Consolidated Government Information

Technology Department while the department was in the process of developing a

Hispanic website ;



WHEREAS, Leo worked on translating many segments of the Consolidated Government

website into Spanish and his evaluations from the internship have been

excellent;



WHEREAS, this Council deems the achievements of Leonardo Rosales and the Global

Media Resources Academy at Shaw High School worthy of special recognition by

this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Leonardo Rosales and the Global Media

Resources Academy at Shaw High School for their collaboration and assistance to

the Department of Information Technology with the development of a Hispanic

website. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Leonardo Rosales and

Dr. Jim Arnold, Principal of Shaw High School.
