AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinance amending the "Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia", by

changing the official street name for the section of public roadway

intersecting Fortson Road currently designated as "Cartledge Road" to "Highland

Pines Drive," to be one street name consistent the length of roadway,

authorizing the replacement of existing street name signs labeled as Cartledge

Road to Highland Pines Drive.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:



Section 1.



That the "Official Street Map, City of Columbus, Georgia" is hereby amended as

follows:



Change the name of Cartledge Road to Highland Pines Drive which runs

east to west from Fortson Road to end of right-of-way, the entire length of the

roadway.



Section 2.



That an official street name sign shall be erected indicating "Highland Pines

Drive" at its intersections with Fortson Road, Judy Drive, Carol Drive and

Melinda Drive.



Section 3.



That all ordinances and parts of ordinances that are in conflict with this

ordinance are hereby repealed.



Introduced at a regular meeting of Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the

____ day of _______, 2003, introduced a second time at a regular meeting of

said Council held on the ____ day of _____, 2003 and adopted at said meeting by

the affirmative vote of ____members of said Council.
