MERITORIOUS RESOLUTIONS:



Have the staff to prepare a resolution for next week?s Agenda

congratulating Kadesha Talley for winning the State Championship in the discus

and the shot put during the State Track Meet. (Request of Councilor Hunter)

Also, have the staff to prepare a resolution honoring the Teacher of the Year,

to be sponsored by the entire Council. (Request of Councilor Henderson)

PROPOSED ONEY REZONING:



Have the proponent to provide the Council with photographs of other

apartment complexes that they have developed or managed. (Request of Councilor

Turner Pugh)

NO PARKING SIGNS:



Have the staff to provide a breakdown of the costs for the no parking

signs that will be going up on 32nd Street. (Request of Councilor McDaniel)



Have the staff to look into the concerns of the resident that lives near

Jordan High School, who is concerned with parking on both sides of the street

and address those concerns. (Request of Councilor Smith)

TAXICAB BUSINESS LICENSES:



Have the staff to provide information as to whether or not when we

have taxicab companies in other states versus those in Columbus, do they pay

the same amount for their business licenses as those business owners in

Columbus. (Request of Councilor Turner Pugh)



Have the staff to determine whether or not the taxicab business owners are

required to have a headquarters located here in Columbus. (Request of Councilor

Woodson)

SENIOR MISS CONTEST:



Have the staff to run the notice of the Senior Miss Contest on CCG-TV,

which will be held this Saturday, May 11, 2002 in the Fine Arts Hall at

Columbus State University at 7:30 p.m. (Request of Councilor Poydasheff)

STREETS:



Have the staff to look into the concerns of Mr. George Reaves regarding

the conditions of the streets in and around 2nd Avenue from 35th Street, in

North Highland.
