CONSENT AGENDA
(1) 2nd Reading ? An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated
Government of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a
district located 290 feet west of North Lumpkin Road, north of Airview Drive,
from C-3 (General Commercial) District to R-4 (High Density Residential)
District.
(2) ADDITIONAL LEGISLATIVE AGENDA ITEM:
Approval is requested of a resolution to the local legislative delegation to
introduce a bill that would amend 1993 Ga. Laws, p. 4849, to add the Muscogee
County Probate Court Judge to the list of local elected officials with
salaries, which may be supplemented by the Columbus Council. A resolution is
attached.
NOTE: There will be a pre-council briefing at 8:30a.m. in the Council Chamber
Conference Room on various issues.

(3) SCRAP TIRE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM - GRANT:
Authorization is requested to submit an application and if approved
accept a grant from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental
Protection Division - Scrap Tire Management Programs Local Government
Enforcement and Education Grant to be administered by Keep Columbus Beautiful.
An agenda report and resolution are attached.
(4) STREET ACCEPTANCE - BAYBERRY DRIVE, SPURLIN COURT AND AVIS COURT:
Authorization is requested to accept a deed to Bayberry Drive, Spurlin
Court and Avis Court in Section Seventeen, Sweetwater Village Subdivision. The
Department of Engineering has inspected these streets and recommends the
acceptance. An agenda report, map and resolution are attached.

Scope of RFP
Provide consulting services to assist with the operational design
and selection of an integrated records management system for the Columbus
Police, Sheriff, Fire/EMS Department and Courts. The successful bidder may be
chosen to implement the software and processes redesign initiatives.
2. Service Pins ? PQ No. 03-00012
Scope of PQ
Provide five hundred thirty-six (536) employee service pins to the
Human Resources Department. The pins must be delivered no later than April 25,
2003.
3. Kawasaki ?Mule? Utility Vehicle ? Bid No. 03-0078
Scope of Bid
To provide One (1) Kawasaki ?Mule? Utility Vehicle to be used at Pine
Grove Landfill by the Landfill Division of the Public Services Department.

1. Glock, Model G-21, 45-Caliber, Semi-Automatic Pistols ? Bid No. 03-0071
Scope of Bid
Provide one hundred forty-eight (148) Glock, Model G-21, 45 Caliber,
Semi-Automatic Pistols with Glock night sights, five (5 lb) trigger and three
high capacity law enforcement magazines per pistol. The pistols will be
utilized by the Sheriff?s Department of the Columbus Consolidated Government.

Scope of Bid
Provide and install surveillance equipment in the Main Office,
Maintenance Office and Parking Garage of Metra Transit Facility.

Scope of Bid
Install a Modified Bitumen Roofing System at the Tillis Swimming Pool
Building and Storage Building.
3. Georgetown and Amber Drive Road Improvements ? Bid No. 03-0075
Scope of Bid
The scope of work shall consist of the widening of Georgetown and Amber
Drive in accordance with the designated plans and specifications. The
Contractor shall be required to maintain public access to all residences and
businesses located within the project area.
4. Mid Size, 4 x 4, Four Door Sport Utility Vehicle ? Bid No. 03-0076
Scope of Bid
To provide one (1) Mid Size, 4 x 4, Four Door SUV to be used by the
Inspections & Codes Enforcement Division of the Community and Economic
Development Department.

5. Repair Services for Aerial Lifts (Annual Contract) ? Bid No. 03-0072
Scope of Bid
Provide repair services for aerial lifts utilized by Columbus
Consolidated Government. The term of this contract shall be for one year, with
the option to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods. Contract
renewal will be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the
Contractor.

Scope of Bid
The project consists of community room renovation; crafts room
addition; kitchen renovations; offices, storage and accessory spaces. Site and
exterior renovations are also included.

1. Banking Services (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 03-0022
Scope of RFP
Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with a qualified banking institution
that can offer the highest quality service at the lowest cost to the taxpayers,
while maintaining efficient operation and optimizing return on available cash
for the benefit of the City. The term of this contract shall be for a period
of five (5) years, beginning July 1, 2003.
