Alan Begner, attorney for Starship Enterprises of Atlanta, Inc., is on the
public agenda for April 16, 2002.
Chronology
_______________
-- Mr. Kelly Rogers made application for a business license at 4402 Veterans
Parkway (formerly Petticoat Junction) as a business that sells tobacco,
novelities and gifts on January 7, 2002.
-- A business license was not issued because the Certificate of Occupancy was
denied by the Inspections & Code Enforcement Division.
-- The denial of the CO was based on a site inspection by representatives from
the Inspections & Code Enforcement Division and the Revenue Division, which
revealed items on display that meet the requirements of an adult book store.
-- An inventory was taken in the presence of the applicant.
-- This location is zoned C-3 and an adult book store is only allowed in C-1
zoning.
Mr. Rogers was notified by certified and regular mail that his application for
a business license was denied based on the zoning of the location not being
appropriate for an adult book store.
