An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at the northwest corner of Veterans Parkway and Old Whittlesey Road,
from M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District to C-3 (General Commercial) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from M-1 (Light
Manufacturing) District to C-3 (General Commercial) District:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Old Whittlesey
Road, proceed northerly along the right-of-way of Veterans Parkway a distance
of 230 feet to an iron pin; thence westerly as distance of 89 feet; thence
south along the line of property of Milner, Hall, and Haralson a distance of
230 feet; then easterly along the right-of-way of Old Whittlesey Road a
distance of 89 feet to an iron pin which is the point of beginning.
The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:
The developer shall not use any directional / flood-style lighting that will
interfere with Veterans Parkway traffic.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia
