Council Members
WHEREAS, Paul Voorhees, owner of Ranger Joe's, was recently honored by Fort
Benning for his exceptional service to the military community;
WHEREAS, on September 18, 2003, Mr. Voorhees was given a proclamation from the
U.S. Army Infantry Center presented by Post commander Brig. Gen. Benjamin
Freakley;
WHEREAS, Mr. Voorhees founded Ranger Joe's with his father, Jack, in 1963 and
the company ships military and law enforcement gear around the world from his
Columbus warehouse;
WHEREAS, Mr. Voorhees' service to the military community at Fort Benning is
worthy of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Paul Voorhees upon his recognition as an
"Exceptional Friend of Fort Benning" and we express our appreciation for his
great service to the military community at Fort Benning. Let a copy of this
resolution be forwarded to Mr. Paul Voorhees.

30th day of September, 2003, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative
