Dear Mr. Oropeza:



As you know, the term of office of Mr. Phillip Friou expired on the

Airport Commission expired on December 31, 2002. Mr. Friou is eligible to

succeed himself, as this is just the end of his first term of office, when he

was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Jack Pezold on this board.



The Council is making efforts to insure that all geographic areas of the

city are represented on each board. To accomplish this, it has established a

policy whereby each board will have at least one individual who resides in

Senatorial District 15 and at least one individual that resides in Senatorial

District 16. The Council is also making efforts to insure that each board has

at least one woman. At the present time, your Commission has no women.



Please have your Commission submit to this office the names and

biographical information on three (3) individuals from which the Columbus

Council may choose your successor. Biographical sketch forms are enclosed for

this purpose.
