An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located at 6551 Green Island Drive, from M-1 (Light Manufacturing), R-1 (Low

Density Residential), and R-4 (High Density Residential) Districts to A-1

(Agricultural) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from M-1 (Light

Manufacturing), R-1 (Low Density Residential), and R-4 (High Density

Residential) Districts to A-1 (Agricultural) District:

All that lot, tract or parcel of land located, lying and being situate in Land

Lots 95 and 94, 8th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, being more

particularly described as follows: Commence at an 18-inch by 18-inch masonry

post located at the intersection of the northern right-of-way line of Standing

Boy Road (60-foot right-of-way) and the eastern right-of-way line of Green

Island Drive (50-foot right- of-way); thence run north 27 degrees 13 minutes 52

seconds west, along the eastern right-of-way line of Green Island Drive for a

distance of 118.35 feet to an iron stake; thence continue to run in a northerly

direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Green Island Drive along a

curve to the right having a radius of 715.00 feet for an arc distance of 139.75

feet to an iron stake which marks the POINT OF BEGINNING; from said POINT OF

BEGINNING, thence run south 72 degrees 31 minutes 17 seconds west for a

distance of 147.85 feet to an iron stake; thence run south 73 degrees 41

minutes 07 seconds west for a distance of 238.85 feet to an iron stake; thence

for an arc distance of 236.25 feet to an iron stake; thence continue to run

along the southern right-of-way line of Mountainbrook Drive south 41 degrees 13

minutes 06 seconds east for a distance of 293 .16 feet to an iron stake; thence

continue to run in a southeasterly direction along the southern right-of-way

line of Mountainbrook Drive along a curve to the left having a radius of 700.00

feet for an arc distance of63.97 feet to an iron stake; thence run south 14

run in a southerly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Green

Island Drive along a curve to the left having a radius of 715.00 feet for an

arc distance of 16.00 feet to an iron stake; thence continue to run in a

southerly direction along the eastern right-of-way line of Green Island Drive

along a curve to the left having a radius of 715.00 feet for an arc distance of

330.69 feet to the iron stake which marks the POINT OF BEGINNING.
