A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH
POWERTEL/ATLANTA, INC., D/B/A T-MOBILE FOR 311 DIALING SERVICE TO T-MOBILE
CUSTOMERS IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, the Citizens Service Center, a division under the City
Manager?s Office, has been designated by the Public Service Commission as a 311
Call Center for non-emergency services; and,
WHEREAS, 311 Service is a three digit dealing arrangement for providing
non-emergency police and other government agency information and assistance to
citizens; and,
WHEREAS, Powertel/Atlanta, Inc., D/B/A T-Mobile wishes to make this three digit
dialing available to their customer at no cost to the Columbus Consolidated
Government pursuant to the attached agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative
Agreement with Powertell/Atlanta, Inc., D/B/A T-Mobile for 311 dialing service
to T-Mobile customers in Columbus, Georgia, at no cost to the Columbus
Consolidated Government pursuant to the attached agreement.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia,
held the _________day of _____________, and adopted at said meeting by the
affirmative vote of _____________members of said Council.
