A RESOLUTION

NO.







WHEREAS, Fox Elementary School students recently held Christmas fundraising

events for the purchase of food for the Valley Rescue Mission;



WHEREAS, this year?s events netted a total of $8,500 for the Christmas season

at the Valley Rescue Mission and the students got to do the shopping;



WHEREAS, over the past nine years, Fox Elementary students have raised nearly

$45,000 through various projects including donating allowances, filling jars

and coffee cans with money and selling crafts;



WHEREAS, the efforts of these Fox Elementary School students and their teachers

are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend all Fox Elementary School students and teachers for their

fundraising efforts on behalf of the Valley Rescue Mission during the Christmas

season. Let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Fox Elementary School

Principal Cliff Moulton.

8th day of February, 2005, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote

of members of Council.
