CONSENT AGENDA:



(1) 2nd Reading ? Rezoning approximately 5.98 acres of property located at

1741, 1729, 1721, 1715, 1711, 1707, and 1703 Elvan Avenue from an R-2 District

to an R-4 District. (14-CA-02-Oney) (Councilor Rodgers) (Both the Planning

Advisory Commission and the Planning Division recommend conditional

approval.)(Delayed from May 7 & 14, 2002 meetings)



(2) 2nd Reading ? Amending the Zoning Altlas so as to change certain

boundaries of a district located at the northwest corner of Veterans Parkway

and Old Whittlesey Road from an M-1 District to a C-3 District.

(16-CA-02-Adams) (Councilor Suber) (Both the Planning Advisory Commission and

the Planning Division recommend conditional approval.)



(3) 2nd Reading - Rezoning approximately 0.40 acres of property located

at 1125 Lockwood Avenue from an R-3A District to an A-0 District.

(5) 2nd Reading - Amending the Procurement Ordinance by adding a new

section to provide that persons found liable in a civil proceeding or convicted

pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 7-6A-8 (Georgia Fair Lending Act) shall not be eligible

for contract awards from the Consolidated Government for a period of ten (10)

years from final disposition of the civil proceeding or the date of conviction;

providing for an effective date. (Councilors Pugh and Henderson)



(6) ACCEPTANCE OF STREET ? PERKINSON COURT AND HOBBS ROAD:

Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Perkinson Court and

Hobbs Road located in Perkinson Place. The Department of Engineering has

inspected these streets and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report,

resolution and map are included.



(7) ACCEPTANCE OF STREET - CAPSTONE COURT:

Authorization is requested for the acceptance of a deed to Capstone Court

located in North Park Center. The Department of Engineering has inspected this

street and recommends the acceptance. An agenda report, resolution and map are

included.

(a) Petition submitted by Suresh Kumar to rezone approximately 1.67 acres of

property located at the southeast corner of Veterans Parkway and Cooper Road

by both the Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Division.)

(b) Petition submitted by New Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church to rezone

Scope of Bid

Provide and install a card swipe access control system at the Columbus Civic

Center. The system shall include PC hardware and software with printer; six

(6) card readers, five (5) exit request push buttons and cable & conduit.



2. Fourteen Yard Dump Truck ? Bid No. 02-0125

Scope of Bid

Provide a minimum fourteen-yard dump truck with cab and chassis to be used by

the Street Maintenance Division.



3. 35-Ft Low Floor Clean Diesel Transit Buses ? Bid No. 02-0078

Scope of Bid

Provide four 35-ft low floor clean diesel transit buses for METRA

Transportation. The units will be replacements for fixed route revenue buses

that are beyond their useful life.



4. 30-Ft Low Floor Clean Diesel Transit Bus ? Bid No. 02-0088

Scope of Bid

Provide one 30-ft low floor clean diesel transit bus for METRA Transportation.

The unit is a replacement for one that is beyond its useful life.

1. Commercial Property, Crime & Liability Insurance (Annual Contract) ?

RFP No. 02-0038

Scope of RFP

Provide Columbus Consolidated Government with commercial property,

crime and liability insurance. The contract shall be for two years with the

option to renew for three additional twelve-month periods. Contract renewal

will be contingent upon the mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor.



2. Grounds Maintenance ? (Annual Contract) ? RFP No. 02-0043

Scope of Bid

Provide grounds maintenance service to include weekly, monthly and yearly

maintenance routine including: fertilizing, weekly mowing, edging, weed

control, irrigation, pruning, mulching, disease and insect control, etc.

Scope of Bid

Provide construction services for Fire Station No. 7. The two-bay fire station
