An Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of Columbus, Georgia; this
amendment changing the zoning text of Section 22-36, Administration of
Chapter, so as to authorize limiting the period of time to table a case to six
(6) months.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
Amend Sec. 22-36 Administration of Chapter as follows:
Add Sec. 22-36 (C)(3.1) to read as follows:
(C) Amendment to Zoning Ordinance:
(3.1) Tabling of petition. Tabling of a petition to amend the zoning atlas or
text by the applicant is permitted for no more than six
(6) months. An applicant choosing to table a case,
regardless of where it is in the rezoning process,
shall make their request formally by a letter to the planning division. When
a petition is tabled by the applicant, the applicant shall not
be allowed to table the petition at any other time during
the rezoning process.
