A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TO DECLARE 46 APOLLO DRIVE A/K/A TAX MAP # 089 007 002
AS SURPLUS, TO ADVERTISE, AND SELL SAID PROPERTY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
7-501 OF THE CITY CODE COLUMBUS, MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, the above mentioned property is owned exclusively by the Columbus
Consolidated Government; and,
WHEREAS, the Columbus Consolidated Government has no current or future use of
plans for said property; and,
WHEREAS, the property is appropriately suited for private development and use;
and,
WHEREAS, surplus real property owned by the Columbus Consolidated Government
must be conveyed in accordance with Section 7-501 of the City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to:
1. Declare said property described above as surplus; and,
2. Advertise, and accept sealed bids for said property; and,
3. Sell said property for minimum acceptable bid or equal to its fair market
value; and,
4. Execute all contracts, agreements and understandings related to the
conveyance of said City property.
