A RESOLUTION

No.



WHEREAS, the Northside Patriots Rifle Team recently won the first state

championship in the history of Northside High School;



WHEREAS, the Patriots defeated Woodward Academy by a score of 1142 to 1139 at

the state rifle match held at Ft. Benning, Georgia on April 9, 2005;



WHEREAS, the victory broke Woodward?s three-year reign as state champions;



WHEREAS, the Patriots? accomplishments are worthy of special recognition by

this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate the following members of the Northside

Patriots Rifle Team upon their victory at the State Rifle Match held at Ft.

Benning, Georgia on April 9, 2005: Hagan Harrison (team captain), Courtney

Scott, Chris Clemmons, Richard MacMinn, Charlie Rouse, Brittany Avery, Michelle

Postma, Kevin Lawton and Coach LTC Richard J. Brewer. Let a copy of this

Resolution be forwarded to the above-named participants.
