A RESOLUTION

NO.



WHEREAS, the Columbus State University recently sent two squads, small co-ed

division and large co-ed division, to the Universal Cheerleader Association

(UCA) Collegiate National Championships in Orlando, Florida;



WHEREAS, this year's Championships were held at the Walt Disney Wide World of

Sports Complex on January 16-18, 2004;



WHEREAS, the small co-ed division team won CSU's first National Championship in

Cheerleading as they beat twelve other universities from across the country;



WHEREAS, the large co-ed division team finished second, also beating numerous

outstanding squads to finish high in the scoring;



WHEREAS, the accomplishments of these two Columbus State University

cheerleading squads are worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate the following members and coaches of the Columbus

State University Cheerleading squads upon their National Championship (Small

Co-ed Division) and upon their second place finish in the Large Co-ed Division

competition: Ashley Freeman, Cathryn Shinkle, Emily Duck, Heather Burnett,

Jessica Farrow, Jessica Trainham, Katie Hicks, Lauren Rodriguez, Lorron Goss,

Nicole Roberts, Vanessa Carson, Taylor Burton, Al Nunez, Britt Oxford, Nathan

Norton, Gary Jervis, Mandy Claborn, Megan Wheeler, Meredith Mines, Ashley

Jackson, Leah Anderson, Jennifer Short, Bill Weathers, Evan Dean, Jeff Judge,

Joey Gill, Kenny Leming, Kyle Davis, Lorenzo Scott, Neal Hinder, Tommy Baran,

Trent Bedingfield, Head Coach Jimbo Davis, Assistant Coaches Elizabeth Suits

and Heath Perkins. Columbus is truly proud of these teams and we wish them

every success in the future. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the

above-named participants.

30th day of March, 2004, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
