WHEREAS, William L. Duck, Jr., Chief of the Columbus Inspections and Code

Enforcement Division, has been elected President of the Southern Building Code

Congress International, Inc.;



WHEREAS, Mr. Duck was elected during the ICBO/SBCCI Joint Annual Conference

held October 28-November 1, 2001 in Greensboro, North Carolina;



WHEREAS, SBCCI provides technical, educational and administrative support to

governmental departments and agencies engaged in building code administration

and enforcement and provides similar support to others in the building design

and construction industry;



WHEREAS, the election of William L. Duck, Jr. as President of the

Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. is worthy of special

recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. William L. Duck, Jr., Chief of the

Columbus Inspections and Code Enforcement Division, upon his election as

President of the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. Let a

copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Mr. William L. Duck, Jr.
