TO: Mayor and Councilors

SUBJECT: Two Hour Parking ? 10th Street

INITIATED BY: Department of Engineering

Recommendation: Approve the attached ordinance establishing a Two (2) Hour

Parking Time Limit along the south curb of 10th Street between 1st and 2nd

Avenue.

Background: The parking along the south curb of 10th Street in front of the

Government Center was established as one (1) hour parking to recover parking

lost to cause by the Performing Arts construction park.

Analysis: Now, that this project is nearing complete, we propose to make this

portion of 10th Street a permanent two (2) hour parking time limit.

Alternatives: The one (1) hour parking time limit can remain in place.

Financial Considerations: The installation of two (2) hour parking signs

will cost about $150.

Legal Considerations: All traffic ordinances require Council approval.

Recommendations/Actions: Approve a Two (2) Hour Parking Time Limit along the

south curb of 10th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue.
