A RESOLUTION
NO.
WHEREAS, Mr. Nathan Edward Rustin, Jr. of Phenix City, Alabama died on May 11,
2002;
WHEREAS, Mr. Rustin was well known as a coach and teacher for the last 34
years, 27 of which were spent at Pacelli High School in Columbus;
WHEREAS, before earning a football scholarship to the University of Alabama
where he graduated in 1968, Coach Rustin earned a Master of Administration and
Education from Georgia State University;
WHEREAS, Coach Rustin was also a member of Sunderlan Baptist Church and the A
Club;
WHEREAS, Coach Rustin is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Kim Jackson and
her husband Keith of Phenix City, son Ty Rustin of Phenix City, three brothers
and four grandchildren.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby convey our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of
Mr. Nathan Edward Rustin, Jr. Coach Rustin's dedicated service to the Columbus
community as a coach and teacher will long be remembered by all who knew
him. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of
Mr. Nathan Edward Rustin, Jr.

Introduced at a regular meeting of the Council of Columbus, Georgia held on the
4th day of June, 2002, and adopted at said meeting by the affirmative vote of
