WHEREAS, Captain Roger Brown (Retired) was inducted into the prestigious United
States Army Ranger Hall of Fame on July 8, 2004;
WHEREAS, the ceremony took place in Infantry Hall at Fort Benning, Georgia;
WHEREAS, Ranger Brown has resided in Columbus, Georgia since 1975, has three
children, two grandchildren and is the owner of a very successful recycling
business, All-American Recycling, Inc.;
WHEREAS, he has exhibited extraordinary heroism and dedication and has received
two Bronze Stars with V Device for Valor, one Army Commendation with V Device,
Purple Heart, Ranger Tab, Pathfinder Badge, Master Parachutist, Combat
Infantryman's Badge and Jungle Warfare Badge;
WHEREAS, Ranger Brown has served as a role model for others to follow;
WHEREAS, Columbus is proud of Ranger Brown and his accomplishments are worthy
of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate United States Army Ranger Roger Brown upon
his being inducted into the United States Army Ranger Hall of Fame on July 8,
2004 at Fort Benning, Georgia. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Ranger Roger Brown.
