An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government

of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district

located on the east portion of 5528 Hodges Drive, from R-1 (Low Density

Residential) District to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District.



THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:



That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the

Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby

amended by changing the following described property from R-1 (Low Density

Residential) District to M-1 (Light Manufacturing) District:



COMMENCING at a point formed by the intersection of the north right-of-way line

of Miller Road with the east right-of-way line of Hodges Drive and run

northerly along the east right-of0-way line of Hodges Drive a distance of

330.65 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 30, East Side Acres; thence continue

along the east right-of-way line of Hodges drive North 24 degrees 04 minutes 46

seconds East a distance of 108.07 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 30, East

Side Acres Subdivision; thence run South 89 degrees 19 minutes 07 seconds East

along the north line of Lot 30, East Side Acres Subdivision a distance of

219.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue along the north line of

Lot 30, East Side Acres Subdivision South 89 degrees 19 minutes 07 seconds East

a distance of 664.44 feet to the centerline of Cooper Creek; thence run in a

southerly direction along the centerline of Cooper Creek a distance of 120

feet, more or less, to the southeast corner of Lot 30, East Side Acres

Subdivision; thence run along the south line of Lot 30, East Side Acres

Subdivision North 89 degrees 25 minutes 00seconds West a distance of 405.00

feet; thence continue along the south line of Lot 30, East Side Acres

Subdivision North 89 degrees 53 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 168.00

feet; thence continue along the south line of Lot 30, East Side Acres

Subdivision North 89 degrees 21 minutes 37 seconds West a distance of 98.53

feet; thence run North 00 degrees 08 minutes 41 seconds East a distance of

100.27 feet to the point of beginning.





The above-described property is being rezoned with the following condition:



All lighting shall be directed internally using deflector shields.
