UPTOWN IS SPOOKTACULAR THIS HALLOWEEN



In an effort to continue the GREAT SUCCESS of past year?s event

Columbus Business Improvement District is hosting the THIRD annual Uptown Trick

or Treat, better known as SPOOKTACULAR between the 900 and 1000 blocks of

Broadway.

This event will be two days long starting on Thursday, October 29 until

Saturday October 30th. Each night has a variety of events for everyone in the

family.

On Saturday, October 30th, the 23rd Annual 5K Run will start in

Historic Columbus. Later that day at 3pm Historic Columbus will be reading

Ghost Stories in the Log Cabin and between the hours of 4-6pm, there will the

Spooktacular Kids Fair in the parking lot of the Columbus Convention and

Visitors Bureau. The fair will includes games such as pumpkin bowling, a

cakewalk, pumpkin decorating and a kids costume contest. We encourage kids 12

and under to attend along with their parents.

Uptown merchants along the 1000 block of Broadway will be handing out goodies

and treats from 6pm-8pm. Children can pick up their map and trick or treat bag

at the KIDS KORNER table located in the 1000 block median.

Later that evening the Springer will have a Ghost Tour from 6:30-9pm.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased that afternoon at 5pm. The Coca-Cola Space

and Science Center will be playing Sci-Fi movies on the lawn from 8-10pm.

The cost is FREE and the purpose is to offer a SAFE ENVIRONMENT so children and

parents can trick or treat. So throw on your costumes and come down for an

exciting night of music, candy and fun!!!

For adults Fountain City Coffee will have there outside movie playing at

midnight. The bars will be ?Spooking? it up with costume contests and there is

even an adult haunted house located behind the Tap and put on by the Columbus

Jaycee?s. Entrance to the haunted house is $5 and all proceeds go to Project

Uplift.
