A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, on July 15, 2003, Bob Smith, Lead Mechanic for the Consolidated
Government was working on a vehicle with David Keel, Mechanic, when gasoline
suddenly erupted and ignited the upper body of Mr. Keel;
WHEREAS, Mr. Smith, with great bravery and without regard for his personal
safety, rushed into the fire, pulled Mr. Keel out of the blaze and extinguished
the fire on his body;
WHEREAS, Mr. Smith then rushed Mr. Keel to the hospital where he received
immediate treatment for severe burns;
WHEREAS, the brave actions of Mr. Bob Smith in rescuing his coworker are worthy
of special recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend Mr. Bob Smith, Lead Mechanic for the Consolidated Government,
for his courageous actions and quick thinking as he came to the aid of Mechanic
David Keel. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Bob Smith.
