A RESOLUTION



NO.



WHEREAS, Edgewood Elementary School was recently honored by the State

Superintendent of Schools as one of the State's highest-achieving schools;



WHEREAS, Edgewood Elementary is one of twenty-six schools that State

Superintendent Kathy Cox named as 2004 Georgia Schools of Excellence in Student

Achievement;



WHEREAS, this high honor is worthy of special recognition by this Council.



NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:



We commend and congratulate Edgewood Elementary School Principal Melana

Cassell, former Principal Donna Johnson and Edgewood Elementary faculty and

students upon their selection as a 2004 Georgia School of Excellence in Student

Achievement. Columbus is truly proud of their accomplishment and we wish them

every success in the future.
