A RESOLUTION
No.
WHEREAS, Mr. John Greenman, Publisher and President of the Columbus
Ledger-Enquirer, was presented the James Buntin Excellence in Education award
on May 4, 2004;
WHEREAS, the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation honored Mr. Greenman
for his significant contribution and commitment to education during the Teacher
of the Year Award Ceremony at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center;
WHEREAS, he has served on the Foundation's Board since its inception in 1996
and for six years has chaired the committee that selects the Muscogee County
School District Teacher of the Year;
WHEREAS, Mr. Greenman has not only worked to further education in our
community, but he has also provided excellence in journalism to the Columbus
community;
WHEREAS, his accomplishments and service to our community are worthy of special
recognition by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:
We hereby commend and congratulate Mr. John Greenman, Publisher and President
of the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer upon his receipt of the 2004 James Buntin
Excellence in Education award. Let a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. John Greenman.
