An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government
of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district
located at 5619 and 5627 Hodges Drive, from R-1 (Low Density Residential)
District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Division of the
Department of Community and Economic Development be, and the same is hereby
amended by changing the following described property from R-1 (Low Density
Residential) District to R-3 (Medium Density Residential) District:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Miller Road and Hodges Drive and running
along the northwest side of Hodges Drive 560.0 feet to a concrete monument
which marks the point of beginning; thence running North 66 degrees 59 minutes
58 seconds West a distance of 191.99 feet to an iron stake; thence running
North 78 degrees 02 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 61.96 feet to an iron
stake; thence running South 15 degrees 08 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of
42.25 feet to an iron stake; thence running North 79 degrees 13 minutes 32
seconds West a distance of 230 +/- feet to the center line of Cooper Creek;
thence running north along the centerline of Cooper Creek a distance of 337 +/-
to the north property line of Lot 40, East Side Acres; thence running South 80
degrees 22 minutes 17 seconds East a distance of 510.0 +/- to a concrete
monument; thence running southeasterly along the arc of a curve to the right,
said curve having a radius of 335.03 feet, a distance of 126.08 feet to a
concrete monument on the curving southerly margin of Hodges Drive; thence
running southeasterly along the arc of a curve to the right, said curve having
a radius of 335.03 feet, a distance of 48.57 feet to an iron stake on the
curving southerly margin of Hodges Drive; thence running South 37 degrees 02
minutes 34 seconds West a distance of 59.03 feet to an iron stake; thence
running South 37 degrees 02 minutes 34 seconds West a distance of 108.63 feet
to a concrete monument that marks the point of beginning.
